I DON'T HAVE TIME 03/30/2015
I don't know where all the time goes. Honestly. It's ridiculous. This week we FINALLY HAD INVESTIGATORS AT CHURCH IT WAS A MIRACLE! Three of our most awesome investigators went to church this week and are progressing quite nicely and now we are all felices and THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS I know that you have all been praying for me and my companion and it has really helped a LOT. I don't have very much else to say I am really sorry for not paying attention to the time I will do better next week I love you all GOOD BYE!!!!
Atte: Hermana Beaumont
P.S. Today has officially started my last transfer. I am freaking out. 6 WEEKS LEFT!!!! :O
Pictures:
1.) We got bored waiting for the Elders, so we decided to make faces.
2.) Our beloved Elder de la Vega got transferred, so this is our "Goodbye let's take a picture together" picture.
HELLO PEOPLE OF THE UNIVERSE! 03/23/2015
So, I actually have time this week. IT'S A MIRACLE!
Anyways, this week was rather interesting. Kind of. I had migraines all week, but they have finally ceased. (yay!) And we found a few interesting investigators. One of them was deported from the US (for what he has not said) and still has a long wait to go back. (He lived there legally for his whole life, until he did someting bad that we don't know what it was, and they kicked him out.) Strangely enough, he is one of the only investigators that understands perfectly the doctrine. Problem is that he SAID he would go to church on Sunday and he didn't go. :( But it's fine, we're going to look for him today to see what happened. He speaks a lot of Spanglish mixed with curse words, so that's fun. The other investigator actually isn't officially an investigator yet. We contacted him in the street and he showed up at church yesterday. It was pretty cool. Problem is that he is living here illegally, using papers that belong to a friend of his. He is from Honduras. I'm pretty sure he's not going to be able to progress, but we'll see what happens.
Not much else to say, so I will just send pictures.
1.) District Meeting! We're the only sisters. Again.
2.) Our Stake President is our next door neighbor! We ate with them and the Elders this day.
3.) Me, with Tijuana.
4.) I asked the Elders to take a picture of us, and this is what happened instead.
I DON'T HAVE TIME! 03/16/2015
Nothing super interesting happened this weeek. We're still trying to get into the swing of things, finding new investigators and working with the members. That's the hardest part, becaue we're the first sisters EVER in this ward, so EVERYONE wants to accompany us and it's absolutely overwhelming trying to organize ourselves. My companion is super organized, so it helps a LOT. This week we have plans to go with at least one member every day, so that's really helpful. (GO OUT WITH THE MISSIONARIES. THEY WILL LOVE YOU.)
I don't know if I ever told you guys, but my mission (Misión México Tijuana or MMTJ) has the goal of having one baptism every week per companionship. It might sound impossible, but it was given by revelation to our mission president, so it must be possible. My companiona and I have the goal of baptizing every week for the last 3 weeks of my mission, and the ward's baptism day is Tuesday, so that will be April 21st, 28th, and May 5th. What I ask for are your prayers so that we can successfully find people that are ready and willing to be baptized on those days, so that we can reach our goal. Don't think that I want to do it just to say that I did it. I am doing it because the Lord is hastening his Work. And if He wants us to baptize every week, so be it. We can only do it the lsat 3 weeks because our investigators have to go to church 5 times to be able to get baptized, or we would make the goal a lot more. SO... Pray for us please!Turn and face the STRANGE ch-ch-CHANGES! 03/09/2015
So this week we received a rather interesting phone call that went something like this: "Pack your bags! You´re changing areas!" So, now we are no longer in El Dorado! We are opening an new area/white washing in Americas ward! Why both? Because we are replacing two elders that only had two weeks in this area and were opening it. So, basically, both at the same time. Fun, right? Also, we're the first sisters in the ward in over 10 years so everyone LOVES us. Haha Not only that, but we are in the same ward as our zone leaders and even though they are awesome and patient with us and help us with everything there is some pressure with having good numbers because they are the ones that put the example for the entire zone. SO, we have a LOT of work to do from now until the end of my mission (because it's pretty official; I'm going to "die" here.) But I'm really not complaining because it's great motivation.
Now, for some pictures!"Therefore I say unto you, ctake no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than draiment?
Behold the afowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the alilies of the field how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin;
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, even so will he clothe you, if ye are not of little faith.
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
But aseek ye first the bkingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you."
In my personal study I found this scripture and, though well-known, I felt that I should share it with you guys. I really like this scripture because it reminds us that if we first seek the kingdom of heaven, we will be blessed. Jesus was trying to emphasize the importance of obedience to His word and when we obey the commandments we have the promise that we will have everything that we need, therefore let us not worry for what we will eat, what we will wear, nor how we will live. We have blessings promised us and we can only receive them if we are obedient.
·"I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise." D&C 82:10
"Who am I, saith the Lord, that have promised and have not fulfilled?" D&C 58:31
Okay, that is all for now! I LOVE YOU GUYS HAVE AN AWESOME WEEK!
*Sin Título* 03/02/2015
So, this week nothing really interesting has happened. I'm sick, but it's cool. I'm trying to get over it. (I already asked for a blessing that I am hoping will kick in any minute now.) And I have a few pictures to send.
So, I don't know if I've told you guys, but we now have new rules. We have to contact 12 people every day and knock 6 doors. Let me tell you, IT IS HARD. Doing it isn't, it's the finding people that are interested. I have found SO MANY Jehovah's Witnesses it's not even funny. Like, I think every other door that we knock is JW. I had never even SEEN a JW before my mission. (Hellooooo.... Bible belt.) And it's really hard because they try to contact us and change our lives and whatever and we're just like, "No, I already have the truth, thanks."
Okay, so I just ran out of time, so here are my pictures:
1.) We went to a member's house and they had this mug. I felt slightly uncomfortable. XD

2.) Me on a tiny home-made bridge.
3.) In the church bathroom, making faces. (#dontjudge)
4.) I got a package with a brown paper scarf. It's quite lovely.
Anyways, I have to go now. GOODBYE LOVE YOU!
I'm a... Pokemon trainer!? 02/23/2015
OKAY! So, due to the lack of time to write last week I have a LOT of things to talk about.
First of all, training is... Weird. My companion is awesome, don't get me wrong. It's just weird to be with a companion that knows nothing about how to be a missionary. (Only once have I had a companion with less time in the mish than me, and she still knew more than I did.) But I've adjusted. I know the lessons well enough, so we don't suffer. It's just hard having to think of EVERYTHING alone. I am forgetful, so sometimes we don't end up doing everything that we need to. But training is helping me get better at that. haha
Okay, I'm not sure what else to say right now and I only have 5 mintues left, so I am just going to send pictures. (Each one is worth a thousand words.)
1.) This is me and my pokemon... Wait. Maybe it's just pikachu with her name tag...
2.) Actually me with my companion, Hermana Garavito.
3.) Hermana Díaz bought an awesome mariachi sombrero before she left. This is me. (with my bigote.)
4.) Me with a wall I jumped. In a skirt. (We used the tire that you see there in the background.) It was terrifying.
